The Street Machine Summernats had more of everything. More people, more awesome modified cars, more hard-charging rock 'n' roll and a bigger horsepower party than ever before!
A record crowd of 119,184 spectators joined 2534 entrants in four massive days of unveils, burnouts, cruising and more as the pumping sounds of Airbourne and Drapht rang out across Summernats 30. From the glitz and shine of the heavy metal on display in the Meguiars Pavilion to the pit of tyre destruction that is the Castlemaine Rod Shop Burnout Track, Summernats 30 had something for everyone!
West Aussie Mark Williams brought his amazing HQ Tonner all the way from WA to compete at Summernats and thanks to great performances in show judging, People's Choice voting and Sunday morning's driving events, managed to score the coveted Summernats Grand Champion award - the most coveted award in the Aussie street machining world.
Hitting the burnout big time, Steve Nogas nailed the top spot in the National Burnout Masters competition, wowing the judges with his blown big block Camaro known as KILLAB.
