Summernats announces partnership with Variety – the Children’s Charity and the Variety Bash
Summernats is joining forces with Variety – The Children’s Charity – to help Aussie kids be kids.
“I’m delighted to announce Variety as our new Charity Partner for Summernats. We have been looking for a long-term charitable partner and Variety fits us perfectly,” said co-owner Andy Lopez.
“Variety’s work with kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs makes a real difference to Australian families. That really resonates with the Summernats family, who has always been extremely generous to any fundraising activity that we’ve been associated with,” he said.
“Our people and Variety Bash people share a great love of modifying cars in a crazy and purposeful way. This is the start of a long term relationship.”
Variety CEO, Tam Johnston, said that the partnership was a great fit for both parties.
“Variety has had a long and proud history of Motoring Events – especially our iconic Variety Bash which is now in its 30th year,” Tam said.
“Our Bash community are really looking forward to being a part of this year’s SummerNats and raising money to help children to live laugh and learn.”
The partnership will include:
- the opportunity for Summernats ticket buyers to make a donation to Variety when buying tickets on line
- an impressive array of iconic Variety Bash Cars on display at the festival
- coin collection and raffles at the event
- even more fun activities in the Summernats kids zone
- collaborative marketing to grow participation in the Variety Bash from the Summernats community
“Last year, Variety helped more than 27,000 children in NSW/ACT alone. With the help of the Summernats community we are looking forward to helping even more kids in the years to come,” Tam said.
“I’d ask all the visitors to Summernats this year to dig deep when you see the Bash cars and the collection buckets at the festival.”
