Summernats is always looking for fresh new ways for entrants and spectators to enjoy themselves. So whether you've never been to Summernats before, or if you've been to all thirty, this section contains all the brand new information you'll need to stay up to date with the latest developments at Australia's biggest horsepower party.
In the interests of continuing to improve the safety for all Summernats participants, commencing from Summernats 31 all burnout competitors and their passengers are required to wear a fire suit. This applies to both Burnout Championships and Burnout Masters competitors, regardless of fuel or induction type.
Entrants and passengers are free to bring their own fire suit or borrow one of the Summernats fire suits on the day, free of charge. Summernats has tripled the number of fire suits available for entrants and their passengers to use. Summernats two-piece fire suits meet SFI standard 3.2A/5.
