SUMMERNATS STATEMENT ON BURNOUT TRACK INCIDENT

There was an incident at the burnout track on Sunday involving entrant Steve Nogas in NUKINFUTS. Steve was seen to forcibly drive his car through officials who were instructing him not to drive, and then did an unauthorised burnout.

He was removed by security at the end of his drive and immediately given a life-time ban.

Summernats management has reviewed the incident and the punishment post event.

The annual search for a car loving young woman to represent the Summernats car has begun with the launch of the annual Miss Summernats competition today. There’s over $20,000 in cash and prizes including an exclusive photo shoot with Zoo Weekly Magazine.

The Federal Tyres Miss Summernats presented by Zoo Weekly is one of Australia’s most competitive automotive beauty competitions, and is hotly contested with 36 girls competing for the title at Summernats 24 in 2011.

Summernats 3M Citycruise to kick off Chrome Jubilee

The Summernats 3M Citycruise will take to Northbourne Ave at midday on Thursday January 5th 2012 to launch the 25th birthday of the iconic Street Machine Summernats, proudly supported by Rare Spares.

The Summernats are inviting factory muscle car owners and their cars to the first Muscle Car Sunday at Summernats 25.

On display will be GT Falcons, Camaros, Torana’s and Monaro’s, Mustangs and Corvettes, and any muscle car that represents the days when the factories produced the great performance cars.
